In this thriving community in Southeastern Virginia, in the heart of Hampton Roads, there has been obvious value in working to foster strong relationships between Hampton City Government, Hampton University, Thomas Nelson Community College, the area's education community, Hampton businesses, and the citizens of Hampton.

The Town and Gown Committee has been central to making that happen — and it is a trend that is accelerating and will continue well into the future.

There have been numerous opportunities for sharing resources in helping to make Hampton an even safer city. We have seen beneficial activities between the city's businesses, and the University and education community.
