The Department of Information Technology provides technical hardware and software assistance to City departments that do not have their own support personnel within their department. Support and maintenance functions are provided by the Service Desk staff and the Application Support staff. Sevice Desk
Decision Support technicians staff the IT Service Desk and respond to employee questions and requests for service. Technical Support Staff respond either over the telephone, with personal on-site help, or through email. The Service Desk staff use a standard Software Application to track requests for service. The system also provides information on the status of each request and allows Service Desk staff to prioritize their responsibilities in order to respond in the most efficient manner possible.Application Development / Support
Application Developers provide support for many of the City's IT applications. Enterprise-wide programs such as Financial and Human Resources applications are supported along with many other specialized site-specific applications.
